Checkers Pee Wees are National Champs for 2006/2007

Chelmsford Checkers pee wee team took part in the Pee Wee National Championships 2006 on 4th & 5th November.

Three games on Saturday playing Stafford Sabbotage and beating them 7 - 1. Havering Liberators beating them 16 - 0. & Norton Cyclone beating them 16 - 3. This gave us a place in the semi final to be played on Sunday.

In the semi final we played Borehamwood Lionhearts and we beat them 9 - 1. The whole team were ecstatic as winning this game secured our place in the Final against Oxford. After a nervous 5 hour wait we played Oxford and won the game 9 - 2 and became the National Pee Wee Champions 2006. Danny was so proud of the boys for not only playing so well at the tournament but their dedication and behaviour was impeccable throughout the weekend. A big thank you also has to go to all the parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents that came and cheered them on.
